I agree, that fake railing needs to go!

I would have suggested Olive Garden for Italian food but you had the word "good" in that sentence.

Thanks for the kind words, Anakronism. I'll keep posting new photos as the 'scenery' changes.

Just for the record, I am *not* involved in the Cato project in any way. Just a nosy neighbor who's happy to see some local blight transformed into something potentially wonderful.

That and I'm anxious for some good Italian food! :)

Thanks, Mark. The photos look really good. I can't tell you how happy I am to see the faux brick come off of the building. Now, if we could just get rid of the fake railing, this building might begin to look really good.

Sorry, I'm sort of a preservation wonk.

Keep up the good work, we are all looking forward to the opening!

The renovation continues. Steel I-beam and posts are in place in the side wall while the removed bricks are being used to close windows in the rear. Photos are at http://bit.ly/cO8D1z

Hello to the developers of the new restaurant,.... can't wait!!! The illusions you have made to the concept and designs are exciting, and as a 20yr homeowner of the hood and 40yr resident of Akron I suspect it will be well received. Curious about something,....how can interested people get in touch with you about your plans and maybe positions available. I know a person who is very interested and experienced...with quite a restaraunt resume....Any info you might post here would be of great interest to the area at large. Thanks.

hello owner of canto, wondering if you are gonna have great pizza's since akron is lacking in great places, homemade pepperoni and sauce with crispy crust would be great, the places in this city are decent at least
